The landing beaches
On 6 June 1944, during the Second World War, more than 150,000 soldiers landed on the beaches of Normandy. With 133,000 arriving by sea and 23,000 by air, the Battle of Normandy began.

You can also visit the D-Day sites and museums, including Hill 314, the American cemetery, the artificial harbour at Arromanches les Bains, the Longues sur Mer and Crisbecq batteries and the Airborne Museum.
