At the Château d'Audrieu, our priority is to offer our guests an exceptional service that respects nature. Our commitment to eco-responsibility is at the heart of the mission of our establishment and of 2L Collection. With the help of our employees we are constantly seeking to implement new working habits, with our guests we act by proposing alternatives in respect of the environment, with our partners and suppliers we include them in our strategy of protection and respect of nature.
We have several charging points for electric vehicles available to our guests.
Aware of the eco-responsible approach of many of our guests, we wish to encourage and support them in this decision.
At the Château d'Audrieu they will be able to find: 2 Tesla charging points, 2 Porsche charging points and 3 universal charging points.
Concerned about the respect of nature and the environment, we support actions and projects in line with the values of our Château but also of our Group 2LCollection.
Eager to contribute to the protection of biodiversity, we are committed to the production of honey and house bees in 8 small blue hives.
Real bee hotels!
Since 2020, these hives have been installed on the edge of the pond near the apple trees. The calmness of the place lets you hear the buzzing and see the colonies of bees around our many flowers and fruit trees.
Each season marks a particular activity around the hives, activities that we share with our customers, our employees, our families, in groups of seminars ... we will soon offer you to put on the white dress of a beekeeper, the time of an animation around the bee (visit, theoretical animation, harvest ...)
The Château is their first home, they arrived as donkeys.

They have become inseparable and are like brothers and sisters.
They were baptised by our gardener Alain.
They feed on hay and grass that comes directly from the fields of the estate.
Also, the hard bread and carrots from the kitchen are given to them as a treat.
Short circuit for their food.
At the Château d'Audrieu we do everything possible to favour and protect short circuits : our vegetable garden is the most concrete illustration of this.
Our gardener, in agreement with our Chef, plants seasonal vegetables in order to be able to share them and make them sublime on our guests' plates.
This short circuit allows us to bring all the essence of our place in our plates and cocktails.
We regularly organise visits to our vegetable garden for schools and associations in the region.
Every day, at every moment of the day, the Château d'Audrieu teams strive to reduce our impact on the environment.
This includes the sorting system set up at the Château to separate cardboard from glass, common waste, batteries and light bulbs.
Wherever possible we include our guests in our actions, for example by suggesting that they reuse towels and bedsheets instead of having them changed daily.
What may seem like a simple and unimportant act ultimately impacts our overall energy consumption.
We also make a point of using only environmentally friendly products, whether for the maintenance of our rooms and suites, or for our parks where our gardener limits the use of pesticide fertilisers.
The use of plastic is kept to a minimum. For example, we have given up using plastic access cards for our rooms, preferring real steel keys that are in keeping with the timelessness of Chateau life.
Environmental protection does not have to be synonymous with constraint, especially in the daily lives of our guests. We encourage our guests in our eco-responsibility through memorable experiences. We provide them with bicycles to explore the Normandy countryside. They can discover our beehives and vegetable garden or spend time with our donkeys Nono and Margueritte.
Convinced of the importance of our action, at the Château d'Audrieu, we want to become a reference and an example to follow in sustainable development.
