Historical tours and discovering the region

The château is less than half an hour away from the Normandy Landing beaches and the Mémorial de Caen. It is the ideal starting point for visiting the D-day museums and the memorial sites that are dedicated to this event.

Those interested in history will not be disappointed. Normandy’s historical heritage is very rich as shown by Bayeux and the famous tapisserie de la reine Mathilde (tapestry of Queen Matilda), Caen – the city of the Norman dukes – and Mont Saint-Michel, a French heritage jewel.

Location, between greenery and beaches

The Château d’Audrieu, situated between Caen and Bayeux in Calvados, has a prime location in the heart of Normandy’s countryside and its historical heritage, including the Bessin manors and their exceptional gardens.

Near the beach, the Normandy coast offers a large range of seaside activities in the Summer, including outdoor sports, kite-surfing, sand yachting as well as horse back riding and cycling in a romantic landscape.

Upon request, the Château can organise a hot-air balloon trip, book a round of golf for its customers, recommend the region’s best addresses for cider tastings etc.
